Content:[27/30] Hmm. I was impressed when I first stumbled across this diary, when I read one entry. To me, it offered a kind of sophsication, a great reflective mind and a new spin on things. However, after more than one entry, the diary became.....the typical ansgt ridden teenage diary. I never thought that the depressed, mutiliator teenager would become a stereotype, but it has, and this stereotype is in its realm on diaryland.
You have the words. However, you fall completely short of getting anywhere....it's as if this diary is fumbling desperarely to enter a unique world of its own...but it never reaches it. The entries are monotonous drones about the hate towards your father, your new scars, etc etc etc. You don't comment on any of this any differently from the millions of others who comment on the same thing. So, why should I be so attracted to your diary? Why should I give you a rave review, commenting on the positive things on your diary? I can't find the answers to these questions, and so you are not getting either.
I see alot of potential in this diary. I see the words of someone who is gradually learning to express herself in an engaging way. I think that eventually whatever pain you feel inside will become eloquent, expressive, engaging words. But until then, you are not completely satisfying the requirements of the peanut crunching crowd (I thought you'd like the Plathian reference), and do not offer anything original.
I also realise that this diary acts as an outlet for your frustration, and that is a healthy means for cartharsis. However, in a review, this is not what I am marknig. Sorry.
Your diary has gone on an incredibly journey. My tip is that even within a month, this diary will improve even more. (edit) I've been reviewing this diary for a few weeks, and it's started to change for the better already, and I've adjusted the mark accordingly. You're on your way for a great diary, ask for a re-review later on if you wish. I thought that I would include my old thoughts on this diary, just so you know. But this latest entry is great click, you're becoming a fantastic writer.)
Layout:[24/25] This layout DOES reflect what you are expressing, however. This is what I mark, as well as the user friendly element. Your diary is neat, easy to navigate and all those wonderful things. The picture is cool, it's all neat and boxy, the colours work well together. Good work.(Layout changed since I started review, still the same comments. PLus a Beatle's quote)
Updates:[10/10] Often enough, with a good length.
Extras:[12/10] Easy links to favourite diaries, rings, poetry, fucklist, quizzes, biography, the list goes on and on. Great work.
Errors:[10/10] I can't read your entries since you changed your layout, because theyre cut off. That's probably the fault of MY computer, but I thought I would tell you that I had this problem in case anybody else did. It cut off the edges of your entries.
Contact:[5/5] Guestbook, email, msn, aol, and notes.
Bonus: [5/5] Great extras, and great sythesis between the writing and the layout.
Returning:[4/5] The changes over the past few weeks since I started this review have changed my mind. I'm a regular.
